Golf Simulator Under $5,000: 3 Garage Setups That Actually Work

You don't need a $15,000 build to practice at home. Most garage simulators that people actually use every week cost between $1,500 and $5,000. The trick is spending in the right order.

Where your money should go first

1. Enclosure and impact screen. This protects your walls, ceiling and windows. Skip it and you'll be afraid to swing.
2. Hitting mat. A cheap mat hurts your wrists and lies to you about fat shots. This is the piece you'll feel every swing.
3. Launch monitor. This is what turns a net into a simulator. Prices range from a few hundred dollars to $15,000+.
4. Projector, software and extras. Nice to have. Add them later.
